Electrical standards organization
Are bodies and
institutions that produce and in some cases measure
codes and standards. Or otherwise maintaining standards
that address the interest of a wide base of users
outside the standards development organization. Commonly
referred to as SDO. There are many electrical standards
organization but the most popular one are the NEMA and
the IEEE. The NEMA is a trade organization for the
electrical manufacturing industry. It was found in 1926
and headquarter near Washington, D.C. with approximately
450 members. IEEE was originally stand for the Institute
of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. but today
the organization's has expanded into many related
fields. IEEE fields includes, aerospace systems,
biomedical engineering, computers and telecommunications
and electric and consumer electronics and many other
related fields.
