Listening to God   

 Listening to God involves just that--listening.

Listening to God is an important part of the Christian life. It requires a right attitude in our hearts. And a heart committed to understand his message. God desires to speak to us and we have the privilege of listening to his instruction and guidance. Preparing ourselves-In order to truly listen to God, we must prepare ourselves to hear God by opening our heart to his words. Each of the following helps us to better hear God (but are not necessary conditions - God can talk to us under any circumstances).

 - Listening to God require a right attitude in our hearts. And a heart committed to understanding his message.  

 - The more we love God, the more effectively we hear him.

 - The unsubstantial amount of sins we have on our heart, the easier it is to hear God. (Going to confession often helps maintain a pure soul.)

 - The more were at peace with ourselves, the easier it is to hear God.

 - The more comfortable the atmosphere, the more we can be attentive to God. Avoid disturbance and the proximity of distractions.

 - Jesus created the Church and has told us to tune in to it. The more we are in compliance, the more associated with God we are, and thus the more we can understand Him.

 - The more we cherish one another, the better we can make out what God is trying to tell us.

 - The further we want to accurately hear God and be attentive, the deeper we will apperceive and appreciate Him.

 - The more exposed we are to God and obeying him, the more we will empower ourselves to hear Him. Furthermore, if we are exclusively content to hearing certain things, we reach our destination in what we will hear from God. We should allow God several ways of speaking to us and leading us to where He wants us to be.

 - Frequently exceptional teachings, speaking, writing, or visuals, can act as a medium through which God can speak to our souls.   

 - Regular Bible reading, (since the Bible is the word of God.)
